The sun has been shining so brightly lately that we thought for Music we would listen to and try to sing along to a lovely song by a very famous band called The Beatles. The song is called ‘Here comes the Sun’. The lyrics in this song use lots of our sight words and repeat them many times: here, comes, little, like, say and lots more. See if you can read the lyrics and sing along to the song :)
1. Our book is 'The Enormous Crocodile'. What does 'ENORMOUS' mean? Can you think of 4 other words that mean the same as 'ENORMOUS'.
2. Listen to the next few chapters of 'The Enormous Crococile.
3. Capital Letters: When do we use 'Capital Letters'?
Activity: Exercise your English Book: Complete page 39 to 'fix' these sentences with capital letters.

1. Draw a KWL chart in your copy or on a page, just like we do on the big whiteboard in class.
2. K- in this column, write in any facts you already Know about the sun.
3. W- Write down a few questions or things you Want to find out about the sun.
When we finish our learning about The Sun today, you can research and find out some more facts about the Sun if you like. Then, you can fill in the L- WHAT I LEARNED about the Sun some time in the future, when you have time.

Listen to, and read our 'Renaming Poem'. This is the poem that Deirdre likes to use to help you to learn the steps for the maths concept 'renaming'. She will explain more in video below!
Don't worry if you don't fully understand Renaming today. This is a tricky maths concept, and we will be learning and practising it for this week and next week too. By the end of it, you will be flying at it :).
Practice a few of these sums in your book now, and use the poem if it helps.
